The Greene County Recycling Department hosts community events and reports all township recycling data to the Department of Environmental Protection. The Greene County Recycling Department is in charge of updating the County Solid Waste Management Plan and applies for all applicable recycling grants. For more information, please see below.

Recycling & Community Events
Electronics Recycling:
These events will be held at the Greene County Fairgrounds on May 7th and September 17th from 2pm to 6pm. Greene County Employees and JVS employees will adhere to all CDC regulations and recommendations. For more information about these events, please call 724-852-5300.
Basic Rules for Electronics Recycling Events:
NEW THIS YEAR: NO LIMIT ON TVS
Participants are asked to stay in their vehicles and follow CDC recommendations.
No fee to recycle electronics except:
- TV's with busted glass: $50.00
- Freon appliances: $25.00 each for Freon removal.
- Fluorescent light bulbs: $2.00

Anonymous drop-off
No liquids or needles
Remove identification from bottle or put the pills in a zipped plastic bag (pills may be mixed).
